The PhLAM laboratory offer a researcher position in theoretical/mathematical physics, in collaboration with the mathematicians of the laboratory Paul Painlevé. Possible areas of research range from probabilistic, functional analysis and PDE methods for statistical physics, (functional) renormalization group, disordered systems, cold atomic physics, nonlinear optics and quantum optics.


PhD in theoretical physics, pure/applied mathematics.

Skills in some of the followings research areas are expected:

- Probabilistic methods in statistical physics
- Non-linear PDE in infinite dimension
- Infinite dimensional Gaussian analysis
- Functional renormalization group
- Disordered systems
- Cold-atom physics
- Non-linear optics
- Quantum optics

Work Context

Work will be performed at the PhLAM laboratory, in partnership with the mathematics laboratory Paul Painlevé
in the framework of project CEMPI.

Constraints and risks

Short travels (< 1 week) in France and worldwide.
