The hired post-doctoral researcher will work in the team "Mechanics, Materials and Shape Optimization" at CMAP, under the supervision of Prof. Grégoire Allaire. The mathematical and numerical framework of the project is the level set method for shape and topology optimization of mechanical structures.

The goal is (i) to model the following types of manufacturing constraints (overhang, thermal residual stresses, support, material anisotropy), (ii) to take them into account in the optimization process.

The required skills are therefore a combination of mathematical, computational and mechanical modeling, optimization and numerical algorithms.
