The Marseille Center for Particle Physics is a Joint Research Unit (UMR 7346). The laboratory is part of the National Institute of Nuclear and Particle Physics (IN2P3), under the joint supervision of CNRS and Aix-Marseille University. The research conducted at the CPPM is at the crossroads of the two infinities - the infinitely small and the infinitely large - from the study of the elementary components of matter to the exploration of the cosmos. To do this, we design and build state-of-the-art detection systems, often operating in extreme conditions: under the sea, in space or under the earth. Most of our research is carried out in leading international collaborations and our contributions are recognized worldwide. We participate in training young people in and through research, in university teaching, and in the valorization of our results.
