Missions

The mission of the recruited researcher is to apply the laser processes implemented at LP3 (laser-assisted bioprinting, micro-nano structuring of biopolymers, fabrication of nanoparticles by pulsed laser) to optimize the proliferation, migration and differentiation of stem cells. The subject is more specifically centered on the contribution of the various laser processes mentioned for the optimization of the differentiation of stem cells into muscle cells as well as the creation of neuro-muscular junctions in vitro. The mission is part of the AID-DGA-ANR project currently funded (https://anr.fr/Projet-ANR-20-ASTR-0004)

Work Context

The Lasers Plasma and Photonic Processes Laboratory (LP3, UMR 7341 CNRS-Aix Marseille University- AMU) (http://lp3.fr/). For many years, it has studied the fundamental mechanisms involved in laser-matter interaction in order to develop new laser-based processes. Its skills and its unique set of laser sources and associated equipment allow the development of new laser processes, in order to propose innovative solutions for the industrial and academic world. LP3 has a great expertise in laser surface structuring for a wide range of applications. It is also one of the world leaders in laser-induced printing. It also has a great expertise on the production of nanoparticles by pulsed laser for various applications. 3 researchers are particularly involved in this project: A. AL-Kattan, A. Casanova and A.P. Alloncle. In addition, given the interdisciplinarity of the project, the expertise in biology and stem cells is provided by the Marseille Medical Genetics (https://www.marseille-medical-genetics.org/fr/) laboratory in the framework of a strong collaboration.
