-Integration into a team project on the establishment of myogenic destiny in the early murine embryo involving analysis of cardiac lineages and epithelial properties of progenitor cells during myogenic differentiation and heart morphogenesis. The project will focus on investigating the roles of the transcription factors Tbx1 and Tbx5, involved in 22q11.2 and Holt-Oram syndromes in humans, as well as the retinoic acid signaling pathway.


-Developmental biology techniques, mouse genetics, genotyping, gene expression analysis at different stages in normal embryos and in congenital heart disease models.
-Immunofluorescence, confocal microscopy and image analysis.


-Experience in mouse genetics, molecular biology, histology, immunofluorescence, confocal microscopy and image analysis.
- Good practice of English.

Work Context

The IBDM, located on the Luminy Campus, includes approximately 240 full time researchers, teacher-researchers, engineers and technicians and non-permanent CDDs, post-docs, doctoral students, trainees in 21 research teams and 11 technical platforms and services. The IBDM is a joint research unit under the supervision of the CNRS and AMU, which explores the field of developmental biology and associated pathologies.

The project will be carried out in the "Genetic Control of Cardiac Development" Team led by Robert Kelly. The team being composed of several nationalities, the practice of the English language is desirable.
