To develop robust and comprehensive protocols for the biochemical characterization of adipocyte spheroids and their lipid droplets with the aim to decipher and understand variations between samples from different origins (e.g. different metabolic state, different genetic backgrounds).

The Institute of Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology (UMR 7275 between the CNRS and the University of the Côte d'Azur) conducts fundamental research that can have repercussions in molecular and cellular medicine. The IPMC is located in the technopole of Sophia Antipolis, includes around twenty research teams, different platforms notably in genomics, microscopy and mass spectrometry and includes around 220 people.
The engineer will join Bruno Antonny's team "Dynamics of membranes and protein coats", comprising a dozen people (4 PhD students, a post doc, a lecturer, 4 researchers).
The work is part of an ERC - synergy research program called SPHERES uniting several research teams in France and Sweden. The objective is to understand the mechanisms controlling the size of adipocytes and in particular their lipid droplets using a 3D culture model of spheroid type.
Constraints and risks
Through missions to France and Sweden, the engineer (M / F) will have to regularly base his skills on spheroids and interact with the other members of the synergy program.
