The candidate is expected to conduct a research on the mechanisms of central plasticity triggered by real or simulated (caused by notched noise presentation) hearing loss.


The project is aimed at collecting the extra-cellular neural activity using an array of microelectrodes allowing to document an entire cortical column.


The candidate must be independent, experienced in auditory neurosciences et have strong competences in extra/intra-cellular recordings in animal and have an excellent level in programming and data analysis.

Work Context

The laboratory, composed of around 20 researchers grouped into 4 teams, presents a focus on sensory and cognitive neurosciences. The sensory systems studied in the laboratory are the auditory, the vestibular and the somato-sensory systems. The candidate will join the team “Neural Dynamics and Audition” (NDA) directed by Arnaud Norena (who will be the supervisor of the candidate). The team NDA addresses questions from integrative and computational neurosciences to psychoacoustics and applied mathematics.

l'équipe « Dynamique Neuronale et Audition » (DNA) dirigée par Arnaud Norena, lequel sera également le superviseur du candidat. L'équipe DNA regroupe des chercheurs dont l'expertise s'étend des neurosciences intégratives et computationnelles aux sciences cognitives, à la psychoacoustique et aux mathématiques appliquées.
