The Project Manager assists the consortium leaders of the scientific projects in the assigned portfolio in the coordination of these projects. He/she is responsible for the animation of the consortia and for facilitating their general functioning in accordance with the terms of the grant agreement and the consortium agreement. These functions cover a range of tasks related to the organisational, administrative and legal management of the projects.


Project coordination
- Assist the scientific coordinators in supervising the implementation of the project and monitoring the work plan.
- Develop and implement management tools necessary for project management (procedures, guides, document templates, collaborative platforms, etc.).
- Preparing consortium meetings and taking minutes.
- Leading consortia and facilitating exchanges between partners.
- Implement internal (dissemination of information, animation of the collaborative platform, etc.) and external (drafting the content of the public part of the website, social networks, etc.) communication actions.
- Act as an intermediary between the European Commission or the ANR on the one hand and the consortia on the other.
- Supervise the submission of deliverables according to the planned schedule.
- Maintain the project website with the latest publications and related events.

Administrative and legal management
- Assist the partners on the administrative aspects of the project, control the application of the administrative rules and procedures of Horizon Europe on the one hand and of the ANR on the other hand.
- To collaborate in the financial follow-up of the projects.
- Follow and update (amendments) the contractual documents.
- Ensure compliance with the obligations described in the grant agreement and the consortium agreement.


- Master's degree with a desired specialisation in project or organisation management (training in European project management is a plus).
- Knowledge or experience of the professional environment and networks in the field of public research is a plus
- General knowledge of contract law
- General knowledge of intellectual property law
- General knowledge of public finance
- General knowledge of communication techniques
- Project management methodology
- English language: minimum level B2 required (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)

- Ability to understand and take ownership of the challenges of a scientific project

- Ability to work as part of a team and ability to work in an intercultural environment (network of partners)
- Ability to write reports or documents
- Ability to design dashboards
- Know how to transmit information and give an account

- Know how to use software specific to the activity (in particular: planning tools)

The project manager is assigned to the General Affairs Department of IRISA. He/she coordinates with the other project managers in the department. He/she is functionally placed with the managers of the scientific projects in his/her portfolio and reports to them on his/her activity.

Travel in France and within the European Union to be expected

Additional Information

From 2022, IRISA will coordinate a European project (REGO project) and two PEPR projects (priority research programmes and equipment: SVP and PQ-TLS projects) funded by the ANR.
