Missions

Within a joint-laboratory encompasses a partnership between the laboratory COBRA and the pharmaceutical company Oril Industrie part of Servier laboratories (Bolbec - France), the project aims at developing efficient synthetic pathways to chemical intermediates of pharmaceutical ingredients. Regular presentations of results will be given to both academic and industrial partners.

Activities

The researcher will focus on the development of innovative methodology in heterocycle chemistry. He or she will have to:
-carry out the complete analysis of products and reactions by means of NMR, IR, HPLC, etc, along with a quality management
-secure the preparation of written reports and oral presentations with power-point
-maintain the knowledge of the project through literature survey.

Skills

-Enthusiastic and independent thinking researcher with an excellent synthesis skills and knowledge in modern organic chemistry, especially in multi-step synthesis and heterocyclic chemistry
-interested in the development of methodology and literature searching
-Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

Work Context

This project will be part the joint-laboratory IDECHEM stemming from a partnership between the academic laboratory COBRA (60 reserachres) and the pharmaceutical company Oril Industrie part of Servier (Bolbec - France). The researcher will be integrated in the heterocycles team of the laboratory COBRA at the University of Rouen Normandy (www.lab-cobra.fr) within the IRCOF building in Mont Saint Aignan. He or she will collaborate with doctors Jean-François Brière (DR CNRS – jean-francois.briere@insa-rouen.fr) and Vincent Levacher (DR CNRS – vincent.levacher@insa-rouen.fr).
