The recruited person will be in charge of developing a new experimental set-up for Dynamic Light Scattering experiments. He/she will participate in the main following tasks:
- Specification elaboration of the new device
- Design (hardware and software) and fabrication of a functional prototype
qualification of the device in real use situation


The Dynamic Light Scattering is a mature technique used routinely in public and private research laboratories developing or using particles with a size lower than 1 µm in suspension in a liquid. For this, the sample has to be kept in an adapted cuvette during the whole measurement. This technique is used from pharmaceutical industry to cosmetics, environment to aeronautics for all developments linked to nanocomposites. The current commercial devices (instrument and software), although valid for routine experiments, are not adapted to numerous uses such as measurements in reactors or in microfluidic tubings, needing an in situ measurement. The objective of this project is to develop a new DLS device compatible with in situ measurements. This new device will answer new customer needs identified by Cordouan Technologies Inc. and also an already addressed problematic of the IMRCP laboratory, linked to the production of nanoparticles through a reactor-injector. A first proof of concept has been performed based on an already commercialized system.


Engineer diploma or PhD in physics, experimentation
It is mandatory to have obtained the degree in 2019 or 2020.

Work Context

The work will be performed 20% in IMRCP in Toulouse and 80% in Cordouan Technologies place, in Pessac (33)

Constraints and risks

The only obligation is linked to the double location Toulouse/Pessac
