We open a 2-yr CNRS postdoc position at LUPM, Montpellier, France, starting in the Fall of 2019 (earlier start possible). We expect the successful candidate to work on theoretical developments related to cosmological dark sectors.


The successful candidate will be involved in works aimed at investigating the complementarity between various probes of the nature of dark matter and dark energy, and in particular the CMB
and the 21 cm signal. Further complementarity with other tracers of the large scale structure of our Universe, as well as more local probes will also be addressed.


Applicants should hold a PhD at the start of the contract, with a solid formation in theoretical cosmology and particle/astroparticle physics, be skilled in both analytical and numerical calculations, and have a track record at the level of international standards. Experience in working, or very strong motivation to work at the frontier of different fields will be appreciated (cosmology, particle astrophysics, early universe
and inflation, PBHs, BBN, CMB, 21 cm, dark matter searches, etc.).

Work Context

The candidate will be hosted by the IFAC team of the LUPM, which comprises experts in particle astrophysics and cosmology, and particle model building - and several PhD students.
