We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to apply single-cell transcriptomics approaches to study of regeneration in the crustacean Parhyale hawaiensis. The goal of the project is to perform single-nucleus RNAseq (snRNAseq) to capture transcriptional changes that take place in different cell types during the course of regeneration. Trajectory analysis will be used to connect diverse differentiated cell types with their progenitors and to define the transcriptional identity of these progenitors.


The recruited person will use snRNAseq to analyze the transcriptional changes that take place in different cell types during the course of leg regeneration in Parhyale and to identify the molecular profiles of their progenitor cells.


- Experience in snRNAseq, notably on droplet-based technologies (experimental work and bioinformatic analysis).
- Experience in molecular/genetic approaches in non-conventional model organisms; previous lab experience with Parhyale hawaiensis will be appreciated.
- Scientific communication in English.

Work Context

The researcher will work at the IGFL, in the 'Comparative Developmental Biology and Regeneration' team, led by Michalis Averof. The work environment is international and a good level of communication in English is essential.
